A friend lent me a copy of the original series in the Original Japanese. I insulted my brain with the first episode and dropped it. Toonami has ReBoot. Reboot is cool. But Reboot is made in Canada, and therefore isn't Anime, but CGI.
I lump DBZ with CardCapture Sakura, Sailor Moon, and a plethera of other cheezy kiddiemae cartoons.
The first 6 Episodes of the original Tenchi Muyo were good. Then for some reason it devolved into well animated silliness. The first Tenchi Movie was great. Nice international effort with the music: German composer, english lyrics, Japanese animation, US dgital clean up. Haven't seen anything that convoluted since Lodos war Soundtrack vol 3: Japanese singer, translated japanese to english song lyrics(0 accuracy), Italian chorus.
