Yes, any adult themes get axed when converted to USA syndication. One of my friends caught an episode of DBZ in spanish which had a whole bunch patronizing comments an American Indians, but the english version sanitized not just the comments, but the whole sequence. Guess they didn't want to confuse 6-yo girls with racist imagery. This is another part of why I prefer my anime in Japanese-- Uncut and unadulterated. The voices are what they should be.
Hey, for fun some time, watch Star Wars in any language but english. I was chortling throughout the German version. Aunt Beru's calling "LOOOO-uke LOOO-uke" sounded like a cariboo mating call.
