Parden my initial reaction.
As far as tax cuts go, you made good points about the economy. No, tax cuts alone didn't bring back the economy. Interest rate drops amoung other things helped as well. The recession began late in the Clinton administration though. You said it started in 2001? Man I remember people complaining about the economy before the 2000 elections even started. It was slowing down the news guys said. Now lets go back to Jimmy Carter. In a speech (maybe Grundle knows when I dunno) Carter described Americas situation as a "malaise." The economy sucked, cand the Soviet Union was going around beating up Afganistan. After Reagon came the economy came back, and the Soviet Union was brought to its knees. Reagon cut taxes, the economy improved. Once apon a time Democrats believed in tax cuts. Why they do not now is the Democrats huge problem. They are being pulled to the extreme left.
Iraq was an illegal war? What the fuck are you talking about G.D.? Twenty some-odd U.N. resolutions said they were in violation of disarmament treaties. Now when you say illegal I assume (because you are not specific) that the know-it-all legal authority is the U.N. The U.N. said they broke the law. Bush said they broke the law, and threatened action if Saddam didn't quit the "shell game." We stopped a crazy sonsabitch from having any oppertunity to whack us, now or whenever. Try again "dude"
Afganistan was a response to 9/11. It's odd that you liberals guys don't bring up 9/11, and the right of national interest. It was in our national interest we stomped the Taliban, because they harbored terrerists.
The 21rst century will be a whole lot of religious whackos trying to "off" us with deadly weapons. If we sit on our ass, and hand everything off to the U.N. we will face the same situation France did in 1939, eventual rape.
Elect Bush in 2004
