Yes this specific "war" is being pushed by Bush (both jr. and sr.) but what the American government is doing has been going on long before both of them. Regardless of wich party is in power, the administration continues it's activites regardless. There's a reason people in foreign countries (particularly in the mid east) hate America. Because it invades, takes anything it wants and is clearly responsible to no one. It's the might makes right outlook that causes such terrorism in the first place. And what is portrayed as terrorism in the US, to the people actually doing it, it is seen as the only method they have of attacking an almost unoposable force trying to take them over.
The really sad thing is this; it's almost all the governments. The people on both sides are constantly fed propaganda. The "terrosists" belive without a shadow of doubt that all the people in America are litterally working for the devil, and that they are all pure evil. In the same way that the American government and media portry them as part of an "axis of evil." The people of neither sides are evil, but are caught in a conflict of vast idealogical diffrences and being fed war mongering by both their leaders and too caught up in it to really see what's going on.
Like I said it's what's been happening for millena, over and over again so much is the same, exept that now there are hydrogen bombs and striped toothpaste. And maybe I'm an asshole or unfeeling or full of malice, but I just like watching things fall apart.
