I'd like to hear more about this. Are narratives irrelevant because they are fictional, or because the "language" of narrative (and it's underlying assumptions) forces a certain kind of expression? Is it even possible for a film to be both popular and effective social commentary (intentionally, as opposed to the social biases it may unwittingly expose). What kind of films would you like to see get made?
