1) Between hand-drawn, cut-out, stop-motion, and CGI, which animation technique is your favorite?
A generous blending of all three is most be most desired.
2) Does it really matter to you what style of animation is used or are you more concerned with whether the story and characters are interesting?
There you go, right there!
3) What KIND of animation (from the list above) would best suit an animated film about Crankyland?
I'd go with a regular simpsons/family guy style cartoon. It wouldn't be a serious film, and CGI and stop animation I associate with more serious productions.
