The final release went out on July 19, 2000 to PC Manufacturers. You have to wait for a retail box of it on September 14, 2000. Fortunately I already have the copy and am planning to install it in a couple of days. Features IE 5.5, Movie Maker, Restoring option.. in which if there was a catastrophic crash it would restore the PC back to whatever it was before 10-24 hours ago. Basically Windows Me will not be as uncrashable as Windows NT/Windows 2000 NT but it is just an extra enhancement of Windows 98 SE/Regular. It's 480 megs total on the CD.. Awesome, Cool. I wouldn't upgrade really that fast though since hardware manufacturers have not gotten their hands on the final release yet or taking their time to work out their hardware drivers to support the new operating system. But then again it's basically still using the same OS as 95/98 with new shit added to it since it's not NT it should have full compatibility as 98/95 did and continual standardization of Microsoft.
