According to those of you who disagree with grundle's thoughts, these are the reasons why Mtv has chosen not to have a bash for Bush:
-Bush's campaign didn't have a theme song -He didn't play sax on a late night talk show -He wasn't "kind" to Mtv
Um. . .is there anybody awake out there? Do these seem like realistic reasons, or is possible - just possible - that Mtv has its own agenda?
I remember when the original "Choose or Lose" campaign began. . .but I don't remember seeing George Bush Sr. on that channel once. I don't remember seeing Bob Dole once. I don't remember seeing George W. Bush once. But Mtv is COMPETELY bipartisan. Right.
And now they are mounting a campaign for Hate Crime legislation. Oh my God. They act as if everyone who watches just automatically agrees with them, and who knows - maybe they're right. But my eyes are wide fucking open, and the rest of you are kidding yourselves if you believe Mtv does not have a politically motivated agenda.
As is their right - but they really
shouldn't insult my intelligence by claiming
it's just sort of a "coincidence" that the
first time a Republican is nominated for
president they decide to call off the
festivities.
Wake up, people.
