In recent years I've seen many sixteens, and parents of sixteens, who think that a kid that age automatically "needs" a car that they should buy it for them. Naturally some of the richer ones get sports cars.
How many Crankylanders out there were given a car (not earning the money themselves) when they were sixteen?
