When we are born, we literally become a different person than our mothers. Before birth, we are connected to our mothers and are essentially 1 being. When we are born, we become our own seperate entity and begin to live life in all it's glory...everything is new....we begin to develop memory. We enjoy our childhood until we reach a moment in our lives when something shatters or takes away the amount of love we feel from our parents. The moment this happens, we begin to remember consciously.....We do not remember good things as much as we do bad....
All the money i the world, all the riches in the world, all the friends, dimonds, etc cannot amount to even 1 second of they joy we felt when we were young, before we begin to remember....Most people do not understand this because they do not remember and therefore are oblivious of this fact.
Citizen Kane remembered, and was in an impossible battle with himself to achive the amount of joy he had felt with the sled he treasured as a kid. He died without ever achiving it again.
