u want good rap, try the early 90's eurodance.... some songs had rap in the background....
that was the kind of rap that was rapped to a good beat (eurodance beats), had rythmic coordination with the beat (as opposed to most rap today), and had positive moral lyrics....not some punk who thinks he (she..?) is tough because they yell like dogs over some corney beat.
if rap is supposed to be gangster....y don't they have powerful instrumentals...
all i hear are 4 or 5 percussion/synthesized sounds humming like birds with a dog sounding mad man trying to act tough. u want aggressive tough stuff....listen to punk or explosive techno (not trance) or hard rock or anything (even some early rap) that has powerful beats to it.
i don't mind the singers yelling....but if the beat is soft or light, it doesn't click. and that goes for rock and rap.
