01/29/08: HS's Ten Best Films of the 2000's (so far)

I wasn't gonna do this decade since it isn't over yet...but eh, fuck it. I'm bored.

In no particular order:

1) The Departed

2) LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring

3) Traffic

4) Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

5) Memento

6) Bowling for Columbine (possibly the best documentary I've ever seen)

7) Requiem for a Dream

8) City of God (for being the best Scorsese-like Brazilian film of the decade)

9) Kill Bill Vol. 1 (for having so much style)

10) LOTR: The Return of the King (despite the 12 endings, it's one helluva visual and emotional spectacle)
