In fact, I lean so much towards not liking Bush that I dinged my ear on a mole hill.
So Bush didn't make the list, but there's a good reason why, and it deals with the way the list was structured into its five categories. Where would you put Bush? I mean he's entertaining in a twisted sort of way, but really not up to snuff with the rest of the people within the Artists and Entertainers category. Bush might have made Hero if Dennis Miller could have written his bio for this piece, but Miller's humorous asides and references were likely too obscure for the readers of Time. You cha-cha you. As the majority of voters have chosen to remove Bush's nuts for his last two years in office, he's really not much of a Leader anymore except within his own mind and the badly decomposed mind of Sean Hannity. And Bush is hardly a Builder or a Titan. Sure, he talked a good game at the beginning, but talking is hardly the same of actually doing. In Bush-Speak, I'd class him as a tearer-downer, not a builder-upper. That just leaves the classification of Scientists and Thinkers. But Bush hates science and non-political fact-based scientists. And lastly, that there is no way in hell that "Bush" and "Thinker" should ever be found within the same sentence.
