..for mindless killing-type stuff..
At least, that's what i hear.. I haven't actually played either of those games..
Course, my absolutely best pick would be "Dynasty Warriors 4" (especially if he likes strategy.. It's not a game packed full of in-depth strategy, but there is some strategy involved, and you mindlessly kill about 200 guys per level)
It's a game that's super-popular in Japan, so there are a few....eccentricities... (and i'm cueing up the "Dynasty Warriors sucks, you suck Drew" post)
