I'm not going to give too much away but you'll have quite a while and at least three separate save spheres to pull back out of Sin once you click on it. Know this. When you are in the City of the Dead inside Sin and you can enter a tower, that's your last chance to pull out, but you got awhile still.
The best place to get the upper level Key Spheres is by fighting monsters in the Omega Ruins. You'll have to locate the location using the Find command in the airship. The exact coordinates are listed over at gamefaqs.com or at playonline.com although you have to sign up for playonline.
The Chocobo Race: If you've never located the woman the first place to find her is in the far west of the Calm Lands about in the middle of the far left hand side. If you've done them once and can't find her again, she's outside the tent area in the middle of the Calm Lands.
Anything I missed?
Right now: I have all the aeons, five legendary weapons, and have defeated 20 of the 35 bosses at the monster arena. Working on powering up my characters to fight the last 15 bosses, but I'm getting sucked into Project Gotham Racing which is the best racing game for any console, ever, IMNSHO
