05/15/03: It's a Comic Book Movie People!

Lighten up. Look, if I'm sitting down and watching a film that is up for best picture, I expect to be moved (or have a bowel movement when I realize the Academy is friggin' insane).

When I go to see a silly action flick, that's all I expect. Thusly, I can enjoy the experience without my brain hemmoraging.

The storyline was too short. The dialouge was cheesy. Who cares! Jennifer Garner was incredibly hot. There were one or two touching moments (namely, "I'm not the bad guy.") Kevin Smith makes a cameo, and the film is fairly fun.

Not great, not too shabby either. You can lump Blade, Spiderman, Daredevil, and X-1 in the same category of comics under Avi that leaped to the screen, had their moments, and had their flaws. Each was worth watching at least once.

Perhaps X-2 showed that Marvel is learning and attempting to improve. On second though, Blade 2 could also demonstrate that Marvel just got lucky with X-2.
