Before I knew how lame Renny Harlin was anyway. Something forced about it, Holly in jeopardy again, asshole reporter on same plane. Only limo drivin' Argyle is missing! Yeah, a plane load of people die. Meh. It's just the least memorable.
Actually, William Sadler's baddie was partially recycled into Timothy Olyphant villain (ex government operator). Sadler being the only villain not motivated by money, if memory serves.
Now that I recall, Kevin Smith brought DIE HARD 4 down a bit. Smith not being a great actor, and his role being a shitty cliche.
DIE HARD (could never be topped.) 10/10
Die Hard 2 6/10
Die Hard with a Vengeance 6.5/10 (I actually didn't like it much the first time, but its appeal grew on repeated viewings. The school evacuation stuff was tedious and got old quick.)
Live Free or Die Hard 7/10
Eat Free or Die Hard 5/10 (After the first hour, the amusing satire on American obesity wears thin, har-har. Kevin Smith appearing again...but as Silent Bob? WTF?)
Can't Die Hardly Wait 3/10 (did they really need to make Lucy the new star of the series?)
