I walked out of the cinema(back then) with a new favorite sci-fi and a new favorite movie. I have seen it again since on video and I have some very good advice for the first time watcher. At the cinema, I missed the first minute where the naration gives away almost the whole story. Do yourself a big favour and ensure you miss this naration (there might also be text) at the very beginning. Don't worry, you still discover everything but you are drawn into the characters struggle to find out the truth. It makes this great movie absolutely brilliant.
