If you're really that worried about oil, why cant we drop some taxes on it? Oh no, because then everyone would scream and cry and wail and gnash teeth.
The price of gas is higher, but it's not really..burdensome, adjusted for inflation it's paltry compared to the 70's, or the $3-5 a gallon Europe pays due to their repressive socialist tax structure which, as you know, really drags down their economies to make any problems here look like a picnic. Worried about our 5.6% unemployment? It's 10% in France. And so forth.
I know you support high taxes and and communism, so you would like to destroy the economy, though. So I guess, you should be very happy the price of oil is rising etc. Except I guess, in the short term you just want to elect Kerry.
