Mr. Cranky you are being way too kind. Your criticsizm of "Courage Under Fire" could be applied equally here! How many endings does a movie need? Sappy enough that we see Penn in a "jesus" metaphor at the end, but we have to see love notes from the community to the nun to show how she did the right thing all along, and then the family reconcilliations...ENOUGH! Much of the direction was also like a rough cut. Shakey zooms, putrid "reach out and touch someone" images before the plunger plunges...yech.
