Just saw Dead Man for the first time and rushed upstairs to the Mr. Cranky site to absorb a little feedback. I felt very much like you...I was captivated and, despite not understanding every nuance, really liked it a lot. I tried to take notes as I watched; but every scene engrossed me so much. That is unusual with such little dialogue and, seemingly, no plot. I am typing in a hurry...I need to see it again.
Never was a big Neil Young fan...but WOW...and is it ever great when he doesn't sing.
