All right Tihana, if they find us now, we now we're right in the middle of somebodies bad James Bond script. Let's think about, a girl with family in a former Communist country, a man with the front of being a freelance writer supposedly going on vacation, the plot thickens. This is my first time on a chat line, and like so many other firsts, you'll have to forgive me if I feel my way around a little clumsily. So you heard that I was from Colorado, and a writer, but I don't know that much about you. Yes, I'm hoping (praying in a sort of metaphoric way) that I will be able to write about this trip to Croatia. I have yet to have anything published by nationwide periodicals though, and those magazines can be fairly provincial when it comes to using writers that they have not worked with in the past. I'm hoping to "break in" ( god, the KGB boys are gonna love that phrase ) with this trip. So, tell me more about the coast, I' m really curious about Split, dubrovnik, and Zadar, have you ever been? My sister is an art historian, and she flipped over the pictures of Diocletian's palace. Have you spent any time in these villas? I'lll check this page to see if you respond here or via e-mail, talk to you soon, and I'll leave you with a thought: Journeys, even the word sounds as if it has been drawn from some magic elixir and distilled through the gossamer screen of the imagination
