Naysayers beware! 50 years from now when the crap has blown away Dead Man will be recognized for the masterpiece it is. Haven't read the posts comparing it to Blood Meridian, but that's the first thought that crossed my mind after seeing it the 1st time - after the 4th it was etched in stone. It's incumbent upon everyone to read Cormac McCarthy if they can pull their noses out of People and USA today. Jarmusch has also completed a documentary film on Neil Young & Crazy Horse (one of my other few 20th century icons). I'm sure that one will be roundly panned also. I want to petition Jim Jarmusch to do justice to Charles Bukowski's life on film (Barfly didn't do it).
