Young's soundtrack to "Dead Man" has been on my cd player more than anything else since I got it. (Anybody else notice the slight changes in Iggy Pop's lines from the disc and the film? He says "This is a meal that not even Herod (I think) could command" on the disc, but changes Herod to Goldilocks in the film. I saw the soundtrack on LP up in Saratoga Springs last month, but had already bought the CD, so, audiophile that I am, I must make do. "Dead Man" and the resultant soundtrack have gotten under my skin, and I do not condiser myself either a big Jarmusch or Neil Young fan. I do wonder about the car sound effects throughout it, however. This is great music and a great film.
