04/09/98: Dead Man=masterpiece

This comment will probably be read by nobody, but I'll post it anyway.

Dead Man is a film that anyone can watch, but very few can appreciate. It events a whole new subgenre in the western genre. And no, it's not the "crap" subgenre, it's something like the "enlightened" subgenre.

Dead Man is an intense masterpiece and should not be taken lightly. Jim Jarmusch is my favorite director and deserves a double-take from the entire industry. Screw Hollywood, with its Cameron's, Woo's, and Emmerlich's out to make a quick buck and turn their backs to redeeming social values. Independent film has become the only way to really affect people in this day and age. It's sad, but true.

That's my $.2; love it or leave it.
