It’s amazing how a director can palm off a meaningless meandering movie on art snobs. Jim Jarmusch is a minor talent who shot his creative wad (such as it was) on his first three movies and ever since has been making wan little deadpan comedies that try to get over on little more than a vague atmosphere of smirky hipness. But since Jarmusch dresses exclusively in black and never smiles for the camera he must be a Great Artiste, right?
