12/26/01: I fell asleep...

Posted By: ClarenceBeaks

I never fall asleep during a movie in a theatre, but I did watching this. This was the only the time that has happened to me. When I woke up, the credits were rolling and people were staring at me, so I think I had been snoring rather loudly. Whoops.

Anyway, because I missed 75% of this film, I will not attempt to comment intelligently on it. In addition, I am willing to give the movie the benefit of the doubt and assume I was simply overtired and would've fallen asleep in front of any movie.

Having said that, I am not sure how we are supposed to swallow the fact that Michelle Pfeiffer is able to immediately recognize her long lost son when she hasn't seen him during his formative years and he now looks completely different (and don't give me that maternal instinct bullshit). Also, I have a hard time accepting Treat Williams as a serious actor. First of all, his name is Treat. Second, he should stick to playing psychos or starring in really bad B movies like that one he made with Joe Piscopo.

'Nuff said. At any rate, I am giving some serious thought to purchasing this film on video or DVD. That way, when I need to grab some shut-eye, I just throw this abortion into the player and I'll be sawing logs in no time.
