1. It was a joke. It was an expression of sarcasm. Were you as well-read as you pretend to be, you'd have recognized the quotations from Raymond Chandler's THE BIG SLEEP and the author's introduction to THE BEST OF S. J. PERELMAN. I'm not surprised.
2. Not only have I not retunred to the noxious thread in APT PUPIL; I *refuse* to return. I've heard that the foul and imbecilic capering twit CutThroat has decided to perpetrate another of his fraudulent, dishonest collections of ripped-from-context quotations to besmirch my reputation. As far as I am concerned, I'll apply to him what I applied to Discord, the most famous quote from the Duke of Wellington:
PUBLISH, AND BE DAMNED.
