Although I agree that the idea of electing your Queen is stupid. But, of course, Lucas also bored us with 30 minutes of inane political tomfoolery to show us how Palpatine got to be in charge of the remote control. Like anyone cared.
My brother made an interesting point about the new film. He said something about cutting out any scene without a light saber. He may be onto something.
"There's always a bigger fish" Ping Jon Wing says as they drive through Naboo's molton core. It's a shame Lucas wasn't paying attention to his own wisdom.
