There are two things I'd change first about fantasy villians. First, they always put their whims ahead of reason. I'd make a villian that works more logically. I'd probably not even give him any emotion. Second, they always have ludicrous goals. A great villian wouldn't merely want to destory everything, he'd have some greater goal that involves destroying everything along the way to achieving it. I probably wouldn't make the villian from the area which he is trying to destroy, I'd make him a foriegner from some dark dimension. What do they call that in fantasy? Oh, I remember, "The Netherworld." As for that ultimate goal... hmmm... maybe he needs to eat the sun or something... Anyway, he'd be indifferent towards the heroes.
This is something we could do as a group, write a fantasy villian (maybe even a whole plot outline).
