I've hated every fantasy movie I've ever seen, but I hate most movies, so isn't much of a barometer. The thing that I notice about fantasy movies is how disappointing the villians are. They never live up to the hype. They're always too single-minded and always underestimate the good-guy until it's too late. Plus, they always seem to play back seat to a higher power or authority, which the hero frequently takes advantage of in order to attain victory.
