I knew it!!! no way would John Woo purposly put out the crap Hollywood is forcing on him without a conspiracy behind it.
If your going to Watch HK flicks get the subtitled versions. The voices are so much better (though the subtitles tend to be as bad as the voice overs.) Sorry, Wolfie, HK directors just manage to pull more emotion out of the audiance. The main reason Amercian flicks can't follow HK school is that the Stars don't like to do death scenes. HK thrives on death scenes. So I don't feel it's the direcotrs fault their American Debut is so bad. It's hollywood writers and actors that cause it.
