I got to the Phantasy Niteclub early.I paid, showed my ID, and was promptly frisked for weapons. After this,I tried playing some video games, but they're ALL screwed up.While I was losing at Missile Command,Kitchen Knife Conspiracy began to play.I'd wanted to check them out and I was not disappointed. It's a four-piece who must have some telepathic connection, because they were really tight. The singer screamed his lungs out through the whole set, which included songs like "To Kill Again" and "Betrayed" the latter of which turned into a Korn parody.I hope they stay together, because they were really good.
Schnauzer was up next.Schnauzer rules. You have the dual vocal assault of Jim Konya and Steve Eggs, who can do seriously disturbing things with their voices. You've got a virtuoso guitarist in Ron Merk and a kick-ass bassist whose name eludes me.Schnauzer proceeded to give us a vicious hour-long musical beating. They played "Bloodshower", "Junkyard Funeral" "Family Vacation,""Beat The Dealer" "Jawbreaker" a beautiful rendition of "The Croc" and a shload of others. They invited anyone who knew the lyrics to "I Smash,I Hate" onstage to sing,so I went up onstage, as did three other guys, and we sang/screamed/growled the lyrics.I didn't even use the microphone at one point.I bought their new record, even though I don't have a record player. They also have a new CD coming out soon.
Next up was Odious Sanction. They're a local band, and they are llllooouud!I bought CDs while they provided background noise.(Dumbest lyrics-Splattered Cadaver, who have a song where the lyric "Leave the corpse for dead!" is featured. How the hell do you leave a corpse for dead?)
Last was Blood Coven. They're really good and they sound like Iron Butterfly being geometrically bonded with Black Sabbath,I guess.
