MIAMI -- A small plane crashed into Federal Reserve Bank Building at NW 41 Street and 90 Avenue near Doral in Miami tonight. One body was recovered from the wreckage, the bank's branch manager said. No one inside the building was injured.

The aircraft slammed into the northeast side of the bank about 8:45 p.m., exploded and burst into flames. About 90 people were evacuated from the 28,000-square-foot building. They were inside at a private party at the time.

"When we first came out of and walked around the side, it was really hard to determine that it was a plane," said vice president and branch manager Jay Curry, who was in the building for a board of directors meeting. "There wasn't much to view except the smoke and fire."

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were quick to respond to the scene and they put down foam on the area to contain the fire.

At least one person has been confirmed dead. No word if any other bodies have been recovered.

There are some road closures in the area. Police have blocked off the road at 107th Avenue.

The NTSB and the FAA have been notified. They will be conducting an investigation to see why the plane came down.
