the plan, according to Paramount sources, was to turn the movie franchise over to the Voyager show. DS9, as good as it was, never seem to have the following that the other spin-offs had. The series ending pretty much dismantled that show. Avery Brooks (Sisko) said that was probably it for the DS9 universe. Who knows now, though?
