I like to meet other trekkies online or offline. We seem like a breed of people that people should fear.. because we have futuristic ideas and are more geeky than other people. I don't get offended with people who say Star Trek sucks because it's not a type of show you can watch with everyone.. unlike comedy sitcoms. Same goes for Anime. I'm no FANBOY but I have attended several conventions (within an hour driving distance)
