Very underated. Too bad cause this had to be one of the most ambitious fantasy movies of all time. Jim Henson originally wanted to have all the characters speaking their own race's languages and have the English dialogue in subtitles. And Brian Froud (the art director on "D.C." and "Labyrinth") kicks all ass.
Um, my Sence of Self-Promotion wants me to direct your attention to my "Crankyrinth" fic in the "Muppet Treasure Island" forum, even though I've disowned it cause it stinks (it's a Cranky fanfic in that the characters in the story have the same names as characters in Crankyland). But it's still a pretty good parody of "Labyrinth".
But the glitter...
