Seasonally Affected Disorder.
I don't know what the medical consensus is, but I'll bet there really is something to those portable lights. Lucky for me, I'm so happy most of the time that I can't stand it.
My new office, which is in the middle of an 80 acre field off of Route 66, has 8 sonic mouse "preventors" in it's 2200 square feet. THE DO WORK! They chased all the mice up to our attic. We than installed another 8 of them in the attic. No mice. No rats. And they didn't bother the company dog, near as I could tell. And a bothered pit bull would not have been a good thing.
I've been lucky about not buying junk because I'm one cheap bastard. But someone in my immediate family who will go nameless because my wife will punch me in the face bought two pairs of "Blue-Blocker" sun glasses for $49.99, that I could have picked up at the local Wal-Mart for about $5 each.
Bigest Piece of Crap/Junk I've Ever Been Stuck With: 1980 Harley Davidson Tour Glide 1200. Next to a Triumph Bonneville and a Fiat 600D, that was THEEEE biggest wallet suck/buyers deluxe remorse trip I've ever been on.
Best buy: My latest Harley. They've improved quite a bit in the intervening 26 years. Who knew?
