Around here you don't see too much expensive high-quality stuff - the market is flooded with homegrown and stuff from Mexico, which is usually adequate and occasionally surprisingly good. It's hard to charge more than the standard market price (no more than $30 a 1/4 oz.) even if it's worth it because nearly everybody claims their stuff is better than average - and I have the utmost respect for the few sellers who have been honest and said stuff like 'Yeah, it's cheap Mexican weed, but for $130 a QP what do you expect?'. I did know a guy who was selling good hydro for $40 for an 8 gram bag and knew a guy once who paid $70 a 1/4 oz. for some amazing Thai bud, but they are the exception.
Thing is, I can make an ounce last a month if I don't go overboard and roll nothing but huge joints (which I usually do), and I am paying $50 for it. This is less than what people are paying for a 1/4 oz. the weed mendo gets - how long can you make a quarter last, even if it is extremely potent? I can sell half of it and get my money back if I want, though I don't want to mess with dealing (though if a friend wants some, I'll cut him a deal).
