If these lifers are such scum, they deserve no mercy, so keeping them locked up would be more fitting then.
Or maybe not. Personally, I'm pro-death penalty. A death-row inmate usually gets a bunch of appeals anyway.
There's no reason why Jeff Dahmer shouldn't have been executed. There's no rationale for keeping a freaking psycho cannibal alive.
