Wisconsin is one of those namby pamby states that abolished the death penalty in the 1890s. It was a hub of the Progressive movement and while I love Fighting Bob LaFollette and his ilk, their movement to stop wasting scum is an unfortunate side-effect of their struggles. A prisoner had to do the state's job for them and cave his head in with a weight-lifting bar.
