I guess this is just a love it or hate it movie. Hopefully "EFLA" will recoup on video. I stand by my statement that this is Carpenter's best in a while, since "They Live," anyway. And I think it is a better film than the first one. The characters are better than in Carpenter's other recent movies, and it's a lot funnier. I liked "In The Mouth of Madness," but the script needed another draft on that one to make Sam Neill and Julie Carmen's characters better.
