Multnomah County which encompasses Portland is pretty much the only liberal area in the state along with a lot of Washington County which encompasses most of the Portland suburbs. That metropolis area and its constituents pretty much negate the largely conservative bias of the rest of the state which is why the Portland area is so generally hated around the rest of the state.
