02/08/98: Re: Suspend your disbelief when watching

Well, Mr Robinson, after reading your message, a few things came to mind. It was well written, which suggests that you might be a member of the older generation, and I know what that means to me. My Year 11 maths teacher once told me of how he sat down and worked out the angle that the bridge must be at for the bus to be able to make the jump safely (remember in Speed?). He then said that after that moment in the film, it lost all its credibility. Well, you seem exactly like him. Poor you. You also said that you watched it because you were like a deer caught in headlights. Are deer extremely stupid or can't they communicate at all?? Obviously, you didn't enjoy the movie. Would you continue to watch a video or read a book that you didn't enjoy? If so, why? I fail to understand (probably because in my part of the world, it's the kangaroos that jump into the middle of the road and not deer and everyone knows you're gonna lose against a knagaroo) why you would just sit there and watch the film. Kull the Conqueror is a crap film, I didn't like it so what did I do? I fell asleep (because it was the second film in a movie marathon). So why didn't you?
