08/11/1998: The trailers reminded of Lewis Carrol

Posted By: Awanks

People seem to be responding well to the movie, The trailers are reminiscent(sp?) of The NeverEnding Story, which is in my top three movies of all time.

I have yet to see the movie, but it seems like they got it all right. The Fantasy portion doesn't look totally camp like other recent flops, and seems to have been taken seriously by the director. I knew that the director had true vision when I immediately recognized the theme song, "Fable," by Robert Miles. A true forgotten gem.

That is what a good children's story should be, A Fable. I hope it is a story that gives children the same sense of the wonder of life that I felt when I saw "The NeverEnding Story." I never bought into Santa Claus for a moment, And I rejected the existence of god while still in junior high, But I still believe in magic.....
