How about the 13 year old who killed a 12 year old friend (of whom she had had sex with) because the 12 year old was now having sex with the 13 year old's ex-boyfriend.
This would of been crazy enough if they had been 40 year olds (of course, that has happened too). Now that's not to say men (and boys) haven't done the same thing and for the same reasons.
Very bad things do happened for some really stupid reasons. And, while this movie is no cinematic masterpiece, it is not as strange as it might seem.
