Ah, Nicholas Cage. Remember when the guy was (gulp) respectable? Remember when he chose daring projects for his acting skills and regularly freaked out audiences with his bizarro performances? Remember "Kiss of the Vampire", "Red Rock West" and "Leaving Las Vegas"? Oh, wait, he won an Oscar for that one, didn't he? And, correct me if I am wrong, but upon receiving his shiny statuette, didn't he proceed to turn into Next Generation Michael Caine? My god, it is excrutiating to actually sit through most of Cage's recent work. As if the action hero crap under the thumb of the Jerry Bruckheimer Factory wasn't enough, now we have to watch the guy make fuzzy feel good movies.
Sean Penn was right about the guy when he said, and I paraphrase liberally, "Nic Cage used to be an actor, now he is just in it for the money."
