You claim: "The Soundblaster Live Value/Gold which can encode mp3s with 3d positional audio can be played ONLY on the Nomad and not on the walkman like Rio" but that sounds like a whole lot of propaganda BS to me. MP3 is a standard format, and both the Nomad and 500 use the same decoder chip that they licenced from a 3rd party company. There is simply no technical way for them to make only the Nomad capable of playing such files.

I was going to get the Rio 500, but I chose the Nomad 64 because of the features it offered with it. As long as it plays mp3s at near-cd quality, I'm cool.
