Yes Mr. Cranky is an idiot to say Minnesotans are dopey. Just because he's a jerk doesn't mean everyone in his state is a jerk or even an embecile. Some reviewers are so uneducated it's ridiculous! Are all Wyoming folks cowboys, are all Tennesseeans hillbillys, are all Illinoians gangsters, are all New Yorkers thugs? I don't think so. The accent in Fargo was very exaggerated and also hilarious but folks in the Upper Midwest don't speak quite that way. You might hear an occasional "you betcha" or plenty of "yahs" but not like in the movie...which is a Masterpiece! The Coens were having fun teasing us and we can take it, but when other Americans think..."that's the way it is" I worry about the intelligence level in the USA!
