It is interesting to me that whenever a provocative, intesive thread about movies, were they are now, or were they are going, arises on the Mr. Cranky forum. which, by the way can be rather infreque,ntly there seems to be a backlash against it. not only do people object to the ideas being expressed, they also object to the fact that some one dare express them in this forum. Yes, indeed. mr cranky's forum creates an interesting paradox, a place were people are supposed to eexpress their ideas with little to no reproch, yet a place were petty bickering is rife. we as a group do not treat eachother very well, and subtitles are a vital part of our association with the cultures of other countries. our understanfing is better, due to the purer translations, and the world, becomes that much more comprehensible...
